Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Farm Hand - Sod Farm Assistant

(Maintenance) to assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the farm's

grounds and surrounding areas. This position involves maintaining the

appearance of roadsides, mowing, trimming, weed-eating, and operating various

farm equipment such as tractors, skid steers, and bush hogs. The role is

part-time, with the potential for full-time employment based on performance and

business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform roadside maintenance tasks, such as mowing, trimming, and clearing brush
• Use weed eaters, trimmers, and other tools to maintain the appearance of roadsides, farm edges, and paths
• Operate farm equipment, including tractors, skid steers, and bush hogs, to maintain fields and farm grounds
• Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the farm's shop and surrounding areas
• Assist with farm landscaping, including weeding and maintaining paths and perimeter areas
• Help with cleaning and organizing equipment as needed
• Perform general farm maintenance duties as directed by supervisors
• Work closely with the team to ensure farm grounds are neat, safe, and accessible

Qualifications:

• Experience operating farm equipment, including tractors, skid steers, and bush hogs
• Ability to use landscaping tools such as weed eaters, trimmers, and mowers
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Comfortable working in varying weather conditions
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
• Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license
• Previous farm, landscaping, or maintenance experience is preferred but not required

Compensation:

• $15 - $20 per hour, depending on experience
