Salary: $89,700 - 162,150 per year Requirements:

• I hold a BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with 10 years of experience, or I have 15 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• I possess over 10 years of relevant experience in telephony.
• I have at least 10 years of experience in troubleshooting and resolving issues with telephony equipment.
• I have over 10 years of experience in diagnosing complex routing and switching problems.
• I possess 10 years of hands-on experience configuring telephony switches, routers, network appliances, VMware servers, and Session Border Controllers.

• I demonstrate a high level of customer service, professionalism, and end-user support across all centers.
• I exhibit leadership skills by guiding local team members at all NASA centers with telephony-related issues.
• I mentor junior telephony engineers.
• I conduct research on security vulnerabilities and update the System Security Plan accordingly.
• I manage the lifecycle of both hardware and software.
• I have proven experience in designing modern telephony systems.
• I am knowledgeable in Cisco Telephony, including Cisco Communications Manager, Cisco Unity Connections, Cisco Unified Contact Center Express, and Session Manager.
• I demonstrate expert knowledge in SIP, SRTP, RTP, T1, PRI, SSL, and certificate management.
• I have experience with Microsoft phone systems, including Survivable Branch Appliances and Direct Routing.
• I am familiar with Cisco and Oracle Session Border Controllers.
• I have experience with Cisco switches and routers.
• I understand firewalls and can troubleshoot firewall rules.
• I install, support, and maintain IT and telephony equipment for both legacy and new installations throughout NASA.
• I perform and lead technical analyses of telephony software, hardware, and transmission equipment using various diagnostic tools to support efficient operations.
• I ensure that any modifications in the telephony environment do not impact end users with service disruptions.
• I conduct preventative maintenance inspections and ongoing patching of telephony equipment.
• I support and lead root cause analysis activities of telephony incidents across all centers.
• I lead incident resolution efforts across all NASA centers according to service level agreements for the Voice Service Line.
• I complete work with minimal supervision and direction while working independently within established guidelines and policies.
• I develop engineering documents to support NASA’s telephony system.
