The Structural Steel Fabricator III is an experienced professional responsible for overseeing complex steel fabrication projects, ensuring high-quality standards, and mentoring less experienced fabricators. This role requires advanced knowledge of steel fabrication techniques, problem-solving, and the ability to lead fabrication efforts with minimal supervision.
Lead the fabrication of large-scale or complex structural steel components, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
Mentor and supervise less experienced fabricators, providing guidance and training as necessary.
Read, interpret, and verify blueprints and technical drawings to ensure proper fabrication and assembly.
Perform quality control inspections of fabricated components to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure timely and accurate project completion.
Identify and troubleshoot issues, making adjustments as needed to meet project requirements.
Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety procedures and regulations.
Oversee the maintenance and repair of fabrication tools and equipment.
Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and the use of PPE at all times.

**Required Skills & Qualifications:
**
High School diploma or GED
5+ years of experience in structural steel fabrication, MIG Welding.
Advanced proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints and technical drawings.
Certified in welding (AWS certification)
Extensive experience in welding, cutting, and fabrication techniques.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex fabrication problems.
Leadership skills with the ability to supervise and mentor a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.

**Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
**
The job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, and snow.
Wear Personal protective equipment (Safety glasses, face shield, gloves) and a respirator when required
Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers
Able to work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, overtime as required, and night shifts.
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead.
Good physical stamina and strength (Lift 51 pounds)
Constantly moving on your feet.
Possess good vision (normal or corrected)
