The Peninsula Chicago is seeking a Steward to work with our F&B operations and create a memorable guest experience.

Key Accountabilities:

• To be responsible for all activities of stewarding involving cleaning and maintaining equipment as delegated from the start of your shift till end shift time. 
• Ensure the sanitation of all areas is paramount, washing of hands and sanitizing workspace is essential and need to be done every two hours during your shift.  
• To ensure complete knowledge of dish washing machine operation in the first four weeks of onboarding job. 
• To apply correct usage of all chemicals in the first eight weeks of onboarding job with the team. 
• To have good knowledge of chemicals used MSDS sheet knowledge in the first six weeks onboarding job.
• To replenish stock and inform supervisor of all materials and supplies needed for next day operation two hours before the shift end.
• Make sure ALL banquet setup as needed for next day operation is completed before 11pm for next day operation or before 12pm for same day operation. 
• To facilitate and conduct all inventories required by the department every first month of the year and there after quarterly during the year from 11pm – 7am of the day being done. 
• To ensure a safe working clean environment, by doing a walk-through during every shift at 9am and 7pm daily. 
• Sweep and mop floor regularly during and after operation, change the dish washing machine water every two (2) hours.

General Requirements:

• Able to work as part of a team and to take instructions from supervisors. 
• Able to complete assignments independently and to exercise proper problem-solving skills.
• Able to interact with co-workers and supervisors in a professional and pleasant manner
• An open and flexible schedule with the ability to work on the weekends and holidays
