Job Description

Salary: $57,210 - 82,690 per year Requirements:

Over 5 years of experience as a Designated Engineering Representative (DER) or in Technical Standard Order (TSO) Certification
At least 9 years of experience in RTCA DO-178(B/C) Software Considerations for Airborne Systems Certification
More than 5 years of software engineering experience

Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise a team of engineers focused on the design, analysis, and testing of aircraft systems, emphasizing safety
Foster a safety-first culture within the engineering unit, prioritizing the safety of passengers and crew
Collaborate closely with the FAA to navigate the certification process and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Develop and implement engineering strategies aligned with our commitment to safety and reliability
Act as the main liaison for FAA representatives, promoting clear communication throughout the certification process
Oversee the creation and submission of detailed technical documentation necessary for FAA certification
Mentor engineering staff, providing knowledge on safety protocols and certification processes
Tackle complex engineering challenges with a focus on safety through data-driven decision-making
Monitor project timelines and ensure engineering solutions are delivered on schedule, meeting safety and certification objectives
