Overview of the role :
The Senior Product Owner is responsible for defining and prioritizing the product backlog, ensuring the development team delivers value to customers with each iteration. The Product Owner will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, define user stories, and provide direction to the development team. This role requires strong communication skills, a deep understanding of customer needs, and the ability to make informed decisions to maximize the value of the product.
What you’ll do:
Product Vision and Strategy: Communicate a clear product vision and roadmap that aligns with the company's strategic objectives.
Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, including business users, management and technical team(s)
Product Backlog Management: Prioritize and maintain the product backlog, ensuring that it reflects the most valuable features and enhancements to meet customer needs and business goals.
Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritize product requirements, translating customer needs into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
Development Process: Work closely with the development team to ensure a clear understanding of the requirements and priorities.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the development team, including engineers, designers, and testers, to ensure a shared understanding of product requirements and priorities.
Release Planning: Participate in release planning meetings to define the scope and objectives of each release, prioritizing features based on business value and technical feasibility.
Sprint Planning: Facilitate sprint planning meetings, breaking down user stories into tasks and estimating effort required for implementation.
Daily Stand-ups: Participate in daily stand-up meetings to provide updates on progress, discuss any impediments, and ensure alignment with sprint goals.
Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the QA team to define acceptance criteria and ensure that the product meets quality standards and user expectations.
Customer Feedback: Gather feedback from customers and stakeholders to validate product assumptions, identify areas for improvement, and prioritize future enhancements.
Product Demonstrations: Conduct product demonstrations to stakeholders at the end of each sprint, showcasing completed features and gathering feedback for iteration.
Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the development team, encouraging feedback, retrospectives, and process refinement to enhance productivity and delivery effectiveness.
Documentation and Training: Create and maintain detailed product documentation, including product user guides, release notes, and training materials.
What you’ll bring:
4+ Years of experience in a Product Owner role;
Experience engaging with software development teams;
Experience gathering and documenting requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria;
Working on continuous software product development;
Significant domain knowledge in iGaming industry;
Experience releasing products to market;
Understanding of Product Development, Agile Values and Principles;
Proficiency with product management tools;
Understanding of Agile frameworks and their differences;
Proficiency in designing user journeys and sequence diagrams;
Knowledge of wireframing tools;
Research skills;
Proficiency in formal communication and advanced level of English language
Preferable Qualifications:
Proficiency with Atlassian tools (especially JIRA & Confluence);
Experience in SaaS companies;
PSPO Certification;
