Senior Conservation Planner On-Call

Texas

We are the Environment & Planning Division of ICF. We are passionate about doing what’s right for our clients, our people, the communities where we live and work, and the environment. We are planners, scientists, program managers, communicators, economists, technologists, and strategists. We are collaborative, curious, and committed to excellence—these are qualities we value that make us who we are and inspire us to grow.

Are you a seasoned Senior Conservation Planner looking for a new opportunity? Join our team at ICF's Environment & Planning Division! We are a leading practice in Habitat Conservation Planning and Implementation, offering a wide range of services nationwide. Currently seeking a talented individual with expertise in biology, environmental impact analysis, regulatory compliance, and project management to support our HCP, ESA, and NEPA work. Position based in Austin, with the flexibility to work remotely in a neighboring state. Apply now for a chance to contribute to our unique and impactful practice!

About On-Call Employment with ICF

Given the seasonal or project-specific nature of our environmental work, ICF often hires environmental professionals as “On-Call” employees. On-Call employees are scheduled for work hours as they become available (we usually schedule work hours a few weeks ahead of time), and each on-call employee is free to accept or refuse the hours assigned to them in a given week. On-Call employees may work concurrent projects outside of their ICF assignment (along as their outside work does not create a conflict of interest with the work they do for ICF).

Seeking someone with expertise in natural resource and conservation planning projects, including technical reports, permit applications, habitat management plans, and NEPA documents. Key responsibilities include project coordination, management, and supporting technical analyses. • 8+ years of experience in environmental consulting or related field with a focus on ESA, NEPA, and environmental compliance.

  • 2+ years of experience in a project management or management support role.

Additional Skills

  • Experience working with private, public-sector clients, and regulatory agencies.
