We are currently looking for an experienced, compassionate, and career-oriented Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) in our Biloxi, MS inpatient facility partnerships.

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Job Description

• Our PMHNPs work alongside IBH’s excellent psychiatrists and therapists to provide clinical medication management and therapy. PMHNPs are an integral part of our treatment team! This is an on the road position at our inpatient facilities in Biloxi, MS .

We cannot hire Physician Assistants or CRNPS/FNPs/AGACNPs for this role, and will only hire Board Certified PMHNPs for this position.

Psych NP Salary and Benefits

• Salary starting at $110,000/year
• Malpractice insurance provided
• Quarterly bonus- earning potential up to $200,000/yr

Psych NP Position Requirements

• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in state of Mississippi
• Previous licensure and experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
• Ability to work without direct in-person supervision and practice autonomously
• Sound understanding of all federal and state regulations including HIPAA and OSHA
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and electronic medical records.
• Ability to meet deadlines, and use time effectively and efficiently
• Effectively copes with change and uncertainty
• Action oriented and sees challenges as opportunities
• Daily travel is required
• Must have valid state driver license and be able to drive a car

Psych NP Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients
• Initiate and document appropriate interventions
• Evaluate and record patient/family response and prescribe therapies as indicated
• Assess patient/family needs and provide education
• Incorporate the developing knowledge of evidence-based research into clinical practice
• Develop knowledge of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements
• Complete medical record documentation in a timely fashion
• Round at affiliated hospitals 1 weekend/month
• Advocate for psychiatric-mental health clients and their families

Pay: $110,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
