Title: Site Quality Manager
Location: Prairie State Generating Station
Division: Enerfab Power & Industrial
Direct Report: Scott Potter

shop fabrication, field erection and construction and maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities:
The Project Quality Manager is responsible for implementing and maintaining the site quality assurance
and control program. This role involves quality management, inspection, documentation, and continuous
improvement to uphold the company's quality standards.

Quality Management:
  1. Develop, implement, and manage the site-specific quality assurance and control program.
  2. Ensure that construction work complies with contract specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  3. Conduct regular quality audits and assessments to identify non-conformities and deviations.
  4. Review each project work orders and ensure quality standards and requirements are incorporated.
  5. Collaborate with project teams to establish and track quality objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  6. Implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues.
  7. Schedule and Manage Nondestructive Examination (NDE) subcontractor(s).
Quality Inspections:
  1. Perform on-site inspections to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  2. Verify material quality and adherence to approved plans and drawings.
  3. Monitor and approve work processes, including welding, electrical, and equipment installation.
  4. Review and approve quality control documentation and reports.
Documentation and Reporting:
  1. Maintain accurate records of quality-related activities, including inspections, test results, and nonconformities.
  2. Prepare and submit quality reports to project stakeholders and senior management.
  3. Collaborate with documentation control teams to ensure proper archiving of quality records.
  4. Collaborate with the Authorized Inspector (AI) on plant outages and ensure compliance with Inspection & Testing Plan (ITP).
Continuous Improvement:
  1. Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains in quality management.
  2. Promote a culture of continuous improvement in quality practices.
  3. Stay current with industry best practices and technological advancements in quality management.
Client Communication:
  1. Serve as the point of contact for quality-related inquiries and concerns from clients.
  2. Ensure client satisfaction by addressing quality issues promptly and professionally.
Safety and Compliance
  1. Work in collaboration with the safety department to promote a safe work environment.
  2. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies related to quality.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. (Preferred)
  • Current Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) from AWS (Mandatory)
  • 5+ years of experience in quality management within the construction or industrial sector.
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards, codes, and regulations relevant to industrial construction.
  • Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or similar certifications preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft and quality management software and tools.
  • Previous experience with Procore (Optional)
