Injection Molding Machine Operator

Permeant Shift Time: 6:45pm - 7:15am -(OVERNIGHT)

Training Shift: Candidate hired will train on day shift (8:00am-4:30pm). After training is complete, associate will work over night hours listed above.

**This position requires some flexibility in working hours**

Pay: $ 19.00/hr

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• 2 – 3 years’ experience in Machine Operator

RELATED EXPERIENCE MUST BE OUTLINED ON RESUME

Duties:

• Gaines comprehensive functional knowledge of the manufacturing equipment
• Perform typical polymer compounds machine operations.
• Performs basic set-ups and completes required paperwork.
• Monitors the machines and reports abnormal conditions to the group leader.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Follows prescribed safety regulations and work instructions.
• Performs prescribed preventive maintenance on machines as required.
• Moves materials as necessary.

Experience:

• Injection molding experience (PLUS)
• Plastics compounding experience (PLUS)
• Forklift Experience (PLUS)
• Extruder experience
• Experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or production environment
• Proficiency in using hand tools for assembly and fabrication tasks
• Assembly line experience.
• Knowledge of quality control processes and procedures
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
• Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work

Physical demands:

• Regularly required to sit, stand, and move around the facility.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Must pass PFT/Mask fit test.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• As required by PPE map and tasks assigned.

Work environment:

• Regular exposed to heat, dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noise
