Our client, a leading organization in the research and development sector, is seeking a LAB Research Chemist/Physicist/Engineer II to join their team. As a LAB Research Chemist/Physicist/Engineer II, you will be part of the R&D department supporting innovative product development and process improvements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: LAB Research Chemist/Physicist/Engineer II
Location: Maplewood, MN Pay Range: 25-27/hr
What's the Job?- Initiate and perform technical activities leading to new or improved products, processes, or technologies at a program level
- Plan and execute small batch experiments with polymers, ensuring safety and accuracy
- Operate small-scale processing equipment such as mixers and hot presses safely and efficiently
- Conduct sample testing including tensile & elongation, DSC, DMA, rheometry, and other analytical techniques
- Document experimental data and observations accurately, prepare reports, and present findings orally
What's Needed?- Experience with laboratory research and experimental procedures in polymer or material sciences
- Ability to operate laboratory equipment safely and effectively
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in data collection and analysis
- Excellent communication skills for reporting and collaboration
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment
