Job Description

The best little barbeque joint in the southeast, Ware's Bar-B-Q in Swainsboro, GA, is looking for a FULL TIME kitchen prep cook to join our amazing and dedicated team. Our ideal candidate is friendly, hard-working, and reliable...wouldn't hurt to also love BBQ.

JOB REQUIREMENT: MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT AND CARRY +50lbs

Schedule will be Wed-Sat 11am-7:30pm (34 Hours/week)

Responsibilities

Planning for and preparing food for daily operations
Coordinating the flow of food with front of house
Moving heavy equipment and carrying heavy lugs of food
Maintaining equipment including, but not limited to, grill, prep tables, and warmers
Maintaining sanitary and cleanliness at workstations
Cleaning dishes, washing cooking utensils and cookware, taking out the trash and sanitizing kitchen
Adhering to all relevant sanitary regulations and standards
Assisting front end staff as needed
Additional responsibilities could include assisting in cooking tasks.

Qualifications

MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT AND CARRY +50lbs
Must be on their feet for long periods of time
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Basic knowledge of kitchen management & facilitation of duties
Friendly and positive attitude
Ability to listen and communicate effectively
Quick thinking
Strong attention to detail
Knowledge of kitchen equipment and utensils
Ability to multitask efficiently
Certified in proper food handling, through a ServSafe Certification, not required but definitely a BONUS
