Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking  Agronomy Laborer to join our team. This position involves assisting in various agronomic operations, including planting, fertilizing, spraying, harvesting, and general farm maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions, and be willing to learn and operate agricultural machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in planting, fertilizing, and spraying crops following agronomic best practices.
• Operate and maintain farm equipment, such as tractors, sprayers, and irrigation systems.
• Perform soil preparation, field scouting, and crop monitoring to ensure plant health.
• Load, unload, and transport agricultural materials, including seed, fertilizer, and chemicals.
• Follow safety procedures when handling chemicals and operating machinery.
• Assist with harvesting and post-harvest activities, including storage and transportation.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, including equipment storage and farm facilities.
• Perform general maintenance and minor repairs on tools and machinery.
• Support agronomists and farm managers in daily operations as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in agriculture, farming, or agronomy is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work long hours, including weekends and overtime during peak seasons.
• Comfortable working in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
• Basic mechanical skills for minor equipment maintenance.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL may be a plus).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
