Position: Drywall Estimating Manager
gpac, a 30+ year family-owned, family run search firm, is partnered with a well-established company in the drywall industry. They are looking to fill an Estimating Manager position at their company. As an Estimating Manager , you will be responsible for overseeing the construction estimating process and ensuring accurate and competitive bids for projects.
Estimating Manager Responsibilities:
- Have a strong background in construction estimating, project management, and cost control.
- Manage the construction estimating process from start to finish
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine project requirements
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to develop comprehensive bid proposals
- Stay up to date with industry trends and changes in construction materials and methods Experience
Estimating Manager Essential Job Functions:
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in estimating
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Utilize estimating software such as Quick Bid and On-Screen Takeoff, to streamline the estimating process
- Monitor project costs and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures
- Conduct regular meetings with the estimating team to review progress and address any issues or concerns
