Job Description

Dispatch and Delivery Coordinator Location Urbandale, IA :

PAY: $17.50 per hour

SET SCHEDULE: This position is full time with Sundays and Mondays off.

Summary

This person is responsible for contacting the customer via phone calls to ensure that communication between Homemakers and our customers is accurate, professional, and timely regarding the customers furniture delivery. In addition, this person is responsible for all paperwork needed for documentation both pre- and post-delivery.

Duties

• Responsible for routing deliveries, creating routes for the drivers.
• Communicate with customers regarding 2 hour windows, correct contact info, addresses, and more.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Works well with little supervision
• Attentive to detail when reading reports
• Provides feedback to management regarding efficiency, safety, productivity, etc.
• Follow all operational and safety procedures

Education/Work Experience

• High School or GED
• 1-2 year customer service experience a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Strong problem solving and reasoning skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to plan, organize, and multi-task
