Job Overview:
The Digital User Experience (UX) Researcher II plays a critical role in understanding the needs, behaviors, and priorities of users interacting with digital platforms such as mobile applications, online banking, and websites. This role involves conducting research to provide actionable insights that enhance user experience, improve product usability, and drive Return on Investment (ROI). The UX Researcher collaborates with product, marketing, and design teams to make products more user-friendly, accessible, and appealing to target audiences. They focus on understanding not just how users interact with products, but why they do so.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute customer research throughout the design and development lifecycle, from early strategic direction to post-release validation.
• Research user personas and investigate user behavior.
• Consult with internal teams to apply research findings for product improvement.
• Collaborate with marketing, product management, and design teams to identify research topics.
• Participate in recruitment activities for user research studies.
• Develop and implement user research strategies and methods.
• Formulate surveys and analyze survey data.
• Plan and conduct moderated and unmoderated usability testing exercises.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in cognitive or experimental psychology, human-computer interaction, human factors, or a related field.
• Three (3) years of experience as a UX User Researcher or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in launching and iterating quickly using data-driven insights.
• In-depth understanding of User Interface (UI) design principles.
• Experience with qualitative and user-centered design methodologies.
• Knowledge of UX and user-centered design practices.
• Experience evaluating mobile applications, websites, and voice interfaces.
• Working knowledge of quantitative behavioral analysis and statistics.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Competence in planning and executing remote and in-person usability testing.
• Ability to perform competitive and comparative analysis and research.
• Comfortable presenting research findings and insights to stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with UX and product teams.

Additional Notes: This candidate must be able to conduct usability testing studies for digital platforms, including websites and mobile apps, using the tool Usertesting.com. This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
