The Carpenter performs skilled commercial construction tasks including framing, backing, blocking, installing doors/frames/hardware, and assembling structural and finish components on Brady West projects. Carpenters must maintain high-quality craftsmanship, follow Cal/OSHA and Brady West safety procedures, and work collaboratively with field teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
Install wood/metal studs, backing, and rough framing
Perform layout from plans and construction drawings
Install doors, frames, hardware, and finish components
Operate hand and power tools safely
Work on ladders, lifts, scaffolds, and elevated platforms
Assist with material handling and jobsite cleanup
Travel to multiple jobsites as required
Requirements:
Commercial carpentry experience or union apprenticeship
Ability to lift 60 lbs regularly, 100 lbs occasionally
Reliable transportation and the ability to work at multiple sites
