Job Description

IN a nutshell:

On site parking available and walkable to downtown Red Bank. Company is really big on cultural fit for any new hires so interviews wll be with staff and owner.

Colleen Healey is the owner and is looking to add another bookkeeper to her team. This is a new position as the company continues to onboard new clients and needs to grow their team.

  • QuickBooks experience is mandatory

  • Knowledge of running payroll, paying bills and recording financial transactions within QBO (quickbooks online)

  • In this office, everyone does everything. This involves getting packages from the lobby to taking out trash to ordering lunch.

  • No benefits but open to a "reimbursement" for the right candidate

  • Unlimited PTO

  • Wants person working during business hours but flexible if they need to work from home with a sick child or other reason. Just not looking for someone who wants to work a parsed schedule (i.e. 9-1 and 6-8)

  • Zoom screen with our team

  • Zoom with Dee and/or Carol (full time bookkeepers on staff) Colleen won't hire someone who her team does not agree upon

  • In-office meeting with Colleen and team

  • Coffee/lunch (this could be where offer is extended if it is a fit)

They are OK with taking someone who was an internal bookkeeper for a company or someone who worked for a CPA/bookkeeping firm.

Pay up to $60k for the right person.

Our fee - 15%, 60 day guarantee.

TITLE: Bookkeeper

JOB SUMMARY: The Bookkeeper is an individual contributor with the overall responsibility to maintain a client’s QuickBooks file and ensure it is kept current. At the end of each month, when all reconciliations have been completed and any unknown transactions clarified, financial statements are provided to the client.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Monthly bank and credit card reconciliations .

a. Download bank statements.

i. Coordinate with clients when security codes are needed for access.

b. Download CSV files from bank and credit card websites.

i. Format & import CSV files in to QuickBooks Online as needed.

c. Prepare report of unknown transactions & update transactions as information is received.

2. Payroll.

a. Onboard new employees.

b. Send email reminders to employees regarding timesheet due dates.

c. Review timesheets.

d. Process payroll through ADP.

e. Notify clients of cash requirements.

3. Client Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable management – as it may or may not apply to each client.

4. Maintain communication with clients regarding their QuickBooks Online account and any items related to their financials.

5. Prepare annual reports for clients’ accountants.

Education, Training, Certifications and Experience

Required

● 5+ years of bookkeeping experience

● Proficiency in QuickBooks

● Minimum of 2 years college experience

● Working knowledge of excel

Preferred

● 4-year college degree

● Tech savvy

● Experience with AI
