Michelin Starred Celebrity Chef, Michael Mina looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager for his Growing Restaurant Empire!

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for assisting with management coverage at all restaurants,
where there is a shortage of management or management transition. Also, coordinates,
supervises, trains, and assists in all operational areas during openings and at existing Mina
Group restaurants. Assists in outlet openings as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Ensure training programs are aligned with company programs.

1. Develop and manage training programs for managers and line level employees.
2. Develop, manage and maintain training materials.
3. Monitor and spot check training programs and syllabi in restaurants.
4. Monitor and review testing in restaurants.
5. Create and supervise training syllabus for new projects.
6. Coordinate training and training needs for new projects.
7. A member of the Task Force team during restaurant openings.
8. Develop training objectives, strategies and programs.
9. Train and monitor managers and chefs on Mina Commandments.
10. Train and monitor managers on Weekly Manager Meeting.
11. Ensure that all training programs, manuals, tests or other materials are approved by
12. and in compliance with hotel partners
13. Ensure that Mina maintains compliance with any Union practice or agreements on
14. property
15. Works in concert with Mina HR and Finance on personnel and financial matters
16. Conduct site inspections after visiting restaurants and report to corporate including
17. solutions.
18. Understanding all partner systems and programs and incorporate into restaurant
19. operations.
20. Functions as “Senior Manager” in restaurants that need management coverage and
21. are in management transition
22. Will be required to execute all functions of a Restaurant Manager while at any Mina
23. Group Restaurant.
24. Performs all aspects of position with efficiency, respect, friendliness, professionalism,
25. teamwork, knowledge, patience, awareness, compassion, courtesy and initiative
26. Ensure that Mina Group standards are executed consistently at all outlets
27. Assists all restaurant management teams with all aspects of financial reporting
28. Assists outlets with daily labor report
29. Assists the Mina Group Director of Operations and Assistant Beverage manager with all
30. aspects of inventory efficiency and cost control
31. Ensure that all management personnel at the applicable restaurant is fully trained on
32. all systems
33. Offer positive solutions to problems or issues and provide input to the decision making
34. team
35. Coordinate schedule and work responsibilities for new managers at assigned
36. restaurants
37. Completes projects provided by Mina Group Executives in a timely manner
38. Assists with coordinating recruitment plans with Mina Group Recruiter and Director of
39. Operations
40. Ensures that all operational systems are in place for each restaurant
41. Involved with all aspects of restaurant refreshes
42. Drives and maintains Mina Group culture in all restaurants
43. Participate and coordinate critical path meetings with Mina Group Director of
44. Operations
45. Assist in scheduling candidate interviews to ensure that all staffing levels are met
46. Assists in reviewing and ensuring that training curriculums are in place and functioning
47. at all outlets
48. Participates and organizes all training sessions with the direction of Mina Group
49. Director of Operations
50. Supports and assists staff during service
51. Ensures that all service points are consistently met
52. Keeps Mina Group Executives abreast of situations
53. Fosters team building and diversity at all restaurants
54. Ensure adherence to Mina Group and Host Property Policies and Procedures
55. Assists with all aspects of the operation at openings at all new Mina group restaurants
56. Attends and participates in all Weekly Manager Meetings
57. Attends and participates in the Weekly Operations Meeting
58. Assists and participates in all daily meetings
59. Solicits feedback for personal development
60. Will be required to assist and train in existing restaurants at the discretion of Mina
61. Group
62. Acts as Mina Group liaison with hotel partners, department heads while on property

TRAVEL:
There will be extensive travel required to perform the essential job functions. Travel
requirements will be to the discretion of Mina Group. This includes travel to certain
restaurants for extended periods of time, to assist with manager coverage during transitions
as well as during restaurant openings.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises all FOH line level employees, and assists restaurant management. Carries out
supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable
laws.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

1. Minimum of three years’ experience in the restaurant/hospitality industry.
2. Must have a working knowledge of FOH management and operations.
3. Must understand standard management and training principles and theories.
4. Must understand all health, safety, and sanitation practices.
5. Must have strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook
6. and Word.
7. Four-year College Degree preferred
