Who We’re Hiring:

As the Transportation Aide , you will be a core member of the Ride Health Fleet Management team. Your primary responsibilities will be assisting the driver, escort participants from home or a facility, to and from a vehicle, and attend to participant needs while onboard the vehicle. Success in this position will require exceptional communication skills, attention to details, as well as creative problem solving.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the driver with managing a tablet device, providing direction, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and any other transportation/participant needs the driver may request.

  • Identify participant needs by reading notes on each reservation, understanding participant and assistance needed, evaluating the surroundings and providing physical support as needed.

  • Escort participants from the interior of their residence or facility, to and from the vehicle, including providing physical assistance, as needed.

  • Donning and doffing shoes, hats, and coats to assist participants in leaving their homes or facilities.

  • Gathering medicine, oxygen, and paperwork, as needed.

  • Observe all state and federal mandatory safety regulations and Ride Health specific policies.

  • React professionally at all times, especially in emergency situations.

  • Attend and participate in all department meetings and training.

  • Maintain punctual and regular attendance.

  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality of information regarding all passengers.

  • Perform responsibilities in an ethical and professional manner.

  • Perform other duties as assigned. Duties may include assisting with office work, scheduling or dispatch assistance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent.

  • Experience in a related field preferred or relevant work experience.

  • Experience with Non-Emergency Medical Transportation strongly preferred.

  • Ability to multitask; excellent time management skills.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions.

  • Ability to lift, push and/or pull participants in their mobility device.

  • Ability to climb stairs and provide assistance to participants as needed.
