Working under the direction of the Program Director for Student Success, the Coordinator for Student Success coordinates outreach and support services to a caseload of students. Provides coordinated care focused on increasing student success, retention, and completion with an emphasis on providing timely and personalized support and care.
Summary of Responsibilities
- Strategic Outreach: Develop and execute timely, personalized outreach campaigns aimed at improving student retention and success. Conduct initial outreach and follow-up communications with students to provide support and resources. Utilize various communication channels email, phone, text, social media to engage with students effectively. Monitor and assess the impact of outreach campaigns and adjust strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
- Data Management: Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date student outreach data and spreadsheets. Pull daily reports from university data management systems to track student progress and engagement. Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in student outreach and retention efforts. Prepare regular reports on outreach activities and student success metrics for review by the Program Director and other stakeholders
- Collaboration and Initiatives: Work under the direction of the Program Director to support and enhance student success initiatives. Collaborate with various departments and areas across campus to coordinate student success efforts and ensure a cohesive approach. Share best practices and innovative strategies with campus partners to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required, plus two years of experience related to the job description.
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate degree in related field. Spanish and multi-lingual proficiency allows us to better serve our students.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Knowledge
- Knowledgeable and familiar with customer relationship management.
- Knowledgeable and familiar with student development theory and practices.
- Knowledge of relationships between manual and automated processes.
- Knowledge of confidentiality requirements regarding FERPA regulations.
- Knowledge of Banner student data management and best practices preferred.
- Knowledge of UVU processes, resources, and values.
