Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting Department. As a key member of the team, you'll work closely with our senior staff accountant and contribute to the smooth operation of our accounting and financial functions. This role offers the opportunity to be an integral part of a supportive management team and to play a vital role in maintaining our financial integrity.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily, weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly accounting operations, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), payroll, and reconciliations.
Efficiently manage and organize financial documentation, including combining PDFs and electronically filing records related to AP, AR, and other accounting tasks.
Implement and maintain effective internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Assist with DCAA financial deliverables, including the annual DCAA incurred cost submission.
Handle cash disbursements and receipts, ensuring timely processing and accurate reporting.
Become proficient in the Deltek system, particularly in managing expenses and travel, and stay updated on system changes.
Support the CFO with audit requests, ad hoc tasks, and other financial needs as required.
Qualifications:
1-3 years of accounting or financial reporting experience.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
Experience with Deltek Costpoint is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; experience with Microsoft Outlook and Word is also needed.
Strong team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work independently.
Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.

Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
