Key Responsibilities:

Perform general cost accounting tasks and related duties to support the organization.
Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
Maintain the general ledger with accuracy.
Code invoices, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and close the monthly books.
Reconcile bank accounts monthly, verify deposits, and address any inquiries from banks.
Manage cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; handle accounts receivable collections.
Verify and complete payment of invoices related to accounts payable, ensuring correct account charges.
Assist outside auditors by providing necessary account information and documents for annual audits.
File tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
Coordinate with software vendors to maintain and recommend updates for accounting software systems.
Oversee the purchasing and invoicing system.
Stay updated with accounting practices and procedures.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledgeable in general financial and cost accounting.
Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Ability to accurately prepare tax reports.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software.
Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
At least two years of relevant experience.
