Title: Senior Scrum Master
Duration: 12+ months Contract
Location: Remote
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Scrum Master to join our team on a 12+ month contract basis. In this remote role, you'll play a crucial part in guiding and supporting our teams as they implement agile methodologies to deliver exceptional business and technology solutions. You'll be working within our Medication Management Solutions (MMS) portfolio, focusing on areas such as Quote to Cash, Issue to Resolution, Technical Support, Field Service, and Sales.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Facilitate Agile Ceremonies: Lead essential ceremonies like Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Demos, and Retrospectives to ensure smooth and effective sprints.
2. Manage Risks & Dependencies: Identify and manage project risks and dependencies, helping to ensure that projects stay on track and progress efficiently.
3. Enhance Team Performance: Drive improvements in team performance and efficiency, aiming to deliver high value and continuously enhance our agile delivery processes.
4. Improve Agile Practices: Contribute to the evolution of agile practices by participating in learning opportunities, coaching team members, and suggesting process improvements.
5. Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various teams to coordinate efforts across multiple capabilities and features.
6. Mentor & Guide: Offer mentorship and guidance to team members, supporting their growth and understanding of agile roles.
7. Define & Break Down Scope: Collaborate with the team to understand project scope and break it down into user stories and tasks.
8. Stay Current with Agile Trends: Keep up with the latest agile trends and share insights with the team to continuously improve our agile processes.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Communication: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present ideas effectively to different audiences.
- Technology Proficiency: Comfortable demoing technology and understanding its business value, with a keen ability to adapt to new technologies.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and identifying opportunities based on business needs.
- Matrixed Environments: Ability to navigate complex structures to meet goals and build meaningful relationships.
- Mentorship: A passion for sharing knowledge and mentoring others to help them grow in their agile roles.
Preferred Experience:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: Over 5 years of experience managing software development projects, including at least 3 years in agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, Hybrid).
- Project Management: Extensive experience in cross-functional program/project management, with a strong focus on managing dependencies, risks, and resources.
- Tools: Familiarity with Agile Project Management applications such as Jira, Rally, or VersionOne.
- Technical Expertise: Experience with various technology stacks and proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Industry Experience: Prior experience in a service organization or within the medical device/healthcare industry is a plus.
