Senior Packaging Engineer

• Location: Onsite - Mahwah, New Jersey (07430)
• Type: W2 Contract - (NO C2C OR THIRD PARTY)
• Duration: 18 months - Opportunity for contract extension
• Pay Rate – Negotiable depending on DIRECT-related experience
• Work Authorization - This job requires the applicant to have CURRENT work authorization in the US.

This is an individual contributor role that requires the use of judgement in applying professional expertise and is expected to work independently with minimal supervision.

Job Duties:

• Develops and designs packaging equipment and materials for safe, convenient and attractive transport of goods under a variety of conditions.
• Analyzes engineering drawings and specifications to determine the required type of packaging materials and to maximize convenience, utility and function based on the product's physical characteristics, safety and special-handling requirements.
• Evaluates packaging and transporting methods and procedures to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Evaluates and recommends efficient packing procedures, innovations in packaging materials, and utilization of sealing and fastening devices.

Work Authorization:

• Must be in the United States and able to work with current employment authorization documents.
