Senior Investment Operations Analyst- Asset Management- New York, NY

We are seeking candidates for a Senior Investment Operations Analyst position with a highly successful utilities company headquartered in VA, The Senior Investment Operations Analyst will be part of their Asset Management Group and will is role involves performing key activities on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to ensure seamless operations and accurate reporting for multiple portfolios.

This is a 5-month contract position that will pay $50/hr (depending on experience) within a 40-hour work week.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor cash flows and prepare reconciliations and projections across multiple portfolios.
• Reconcile monthly cash flows and trade activities for Separately Managed Accounts, hedge funds, commingled funds, and private investments in limited partner structures, ensuring alignment with fund manager statements, internal trade instructions, and custodian banks.
• Document the reconciliation process and provide a monthly summary of findings.
• Review Net Asset Values (NAVs) calculated by BNY Mellon and resolve any discrepancies.
• Analyze net earnings allocations prepared by BNY Mellon for portfolios with multiple investors.
• Retrieve, analyze, and prepare data from custodian banks and BNY Mellon systems.
• Compare custodian data with the internal system (Caissa) to identify and address market value, transaction, and performance discrepancies, proposing solutions as needed.
• Complete third-party access request forms.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as required.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required
• 5+ years of experience in investment operations, auditing, or custody, with a solid understanding of multi-asset class investment portfolios and associated strategies.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Strong teamwork skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with BNY Mellon custodian reporting and the Nexen platform.
