Job Summary
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join a dynamic team as a Fund Accountant for our client. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, finance, and a deep understanding of hedge fund operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial success of the fund while working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Calculate daily, weekly, and monthly Net Asset Values for assigned hedge funds.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness in the valuation process, considering all relevant factors such as securities pricing, corporate actions, and accruals.
• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in compliance with regulatory and accounting standards.
• Generate investor reports and other ad-hoc financial reports as needed.
• Perform daily reconciliations of cash, positions, and trades to ensure accuracy and identify and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
• Investigate and resolve variances between internal records and external sources.
• Collaborate with various internal teams, including portfolio management, legal, and compliance, to ensure seamless fund operations.
• Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audit processes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in fund accounting operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience working at a Hedge Fund or Public Accounting.
• Professional qualification such as CPA or CFA is preferred.
• Previous experience in hedge fund accounting or fund administration is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of financial instruments (FX, Futures), investment strategies, and fund structures.

The salary range is between $100,000-$130,000 depending on experience.
