Senior DevOps Engineer Description

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our remote team. Our customer is one of the world's most trusted providers of answers, helping professionals make confident decisions and run better businesses.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage the build and deployment process for confirmation.com, including implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Azure DevOps
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement best practices for build and deployment processes
• Automate the deployment of stored procedures and database changes using PowerShell and tools like Flyway or Liquibase
• Set up monitoring, alerting, and observability for build and deployment pipelines
• Troubleshoot MS build issues and ISS deployment issues
• Optimize the build and deployment process for speed, reliability, and scalability
• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements for build and deployment processes
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, with a deep understanding of build and deployment processes, best practices, and CI/CD design
• Experience in designing deployment pipelines for Windows-based applications, with the ability to troubleshoot MS build issues and ISS deployment issues
• Expertise in implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, with experience in Jenkins DSL jobs being an added advantage
• Experience with Azure DevOps, including creating pipelines
• Experience in setting up monitoring, alerting, and observability for build and deployment pipelines
• Working knowledge of PowerShell, with the ability to automate deployment of stored procedures and database changes using tools like Flyway or Liquibase
• Good understanding of source code management, branching strategies, and release management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English at an upper-intermediate level

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes
• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
