Job Description

Our Northern Bergen County office is a single-member practitioner with staff.

We are looking for a permanent, full-time senior accountant and a leadership position that can result in a short-term partnership opportunity.

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented leader, maintain a current and active CPA license, possess a strong work ethic, be committed to the profession, be accountable for assigned tasks, and be punctual and articulate.
• At a minimum, the candidate must have public accounting experience, knowledge of GAAP, moderate to advanced-level Excel skills, QuickBooks software, and Pro Series Tax preparation software. It is preferred for the candidate to have an advanced knowledge of individual and business tax regulations and be current on recent tax law changes.
• Do not apply if you do not meet at least the minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities will include:

• Preparing financial statements.
• Preparing complex business and individual tax returns.
• Direct client communication.
• Other ad hoc projects as these come up.

Compensation/Salary will be commensurate with experience and range from $100k. Full benefits package available.

Job type: Full time - Tax season requires overtime and Saturday work.
