Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The SAP Basis SME will be responsible for the administration, performance tuning, maintenance, and support of SAP environments. The role requires deep expertise in SAP system landscapes, upgrades, migrations, and security, ensuring high availability and performance across mission-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Provide end-to-end SAP Basis administration, including installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting.
Monitor system performance and implement tuning measures to ensure high availability.
Perform SAP system copies, client refreshes, and landscape management.
Manage SAP transport management system (TMS) across development, quality, and production environments.
Implement and maintain SAP security, roles, and authorizations in coordination with the security team.
Support SAP HANA, NetWeaver, and other SAP components (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PI/PO, Solution Manager).
Perform disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, and system restores.
Provide SME-level support during audits, compliance checks, and security reviews.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business and technical initiatives.
Required Qualifications
U.S. Citizen (Secret Clearance eligibility required)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
8+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration
Strong knowledge of SAP landscapes, including HANA, S/4HANA, ECC, BW, and NetWeaver
Hands-on experience with system performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting
Strong knowledge of SAP security, transport management, and solution manager
Experience with system migrations (OS/DB, HANA migration, cloud migration preferred)
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
