About The Role Reporting to the Head of Product and Growth, you\'ll be accountable for enhancing UI/UX patterns, especially around Smart Slides—designing fresh, scalable templates used in millions of presentations. You\'ll contribute to both hands-on design execution and strategic UX leadership, collaborating closely with Product Managers and Engineers to ensure the best user experience. Your efforts will blend precise UI problem-solving with creative, conceptual design, involving both structured and exploratory work.
Key Responsibilities :
- UI Design & Execution: Design intuitive and delightful UI for new and existing features, minimizing engineering rework with well-structured designs.
- Smart Slides Development: Own and create Smart Slides, simplifying complex ideas into user-friendly, visually compelling slide templates.
- Attention to Detail & Problem Solving: Work on detailed UI components, assembling and refining elements rather than full redesigns.
- Conceptual & Exploratory Work: Dedicate approximately 30% of your time to undefined, creative projects like themes or innovative design methods.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and product teams, ensuring effective communication and project alignment.
- User-Centered Design: Conduct user interviews, refine personas, and advocate for outstanding UX improvements.
- Project Execution: Independently own design deliverables, contribute to tickets, and execute projects toward completion.
- Design System Management: Maintain and enhance the design system for consistency and growth.
Requirements: Minimum Requirements :
- 3+ years of experience in UI and UX design, ideally in SaaS.
- Expertise in Figma, prototyping, and motion design tools.
- Strong visual design skills with background in professional slide design.
- Efficient work habits, adaptability, and openness to feedback.
- Meticulous attention to detail paired with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to balance independent work with structured execution.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Nice to Have :
- Experience with SaaS collaboration and sharing features.
- UI auditing and endpoint refinement skills.
- Familiarity with Edward Tufte\'s work.
- Coding skills are a plus.
