Phlebotomist – Outpatient Laboratory (Day Shift)

Location : Exeter, NH |
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks (11/17/2025 – 02/14/2026)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Pay Rate: $1250 - $1400 gross weekly

Position Overview

Cambay Healthcare is seeking a skilled and experienced Phlebotomist to join our outpatient laboratory team for a 13-week contract. This role is ideal for professionals with strong outpatient experience who thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture, finger sticks, and specimen collection procedures safely and efficiently.
  • Verify patient identity using two identifiers and ensure accurate labeling of specimens.
  • Process and prepare specimens for transport to the main or reference laboratories.
  • Accurately enter orders, test codes, and patient information into the system (EPIC experience preferred).
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the outpatient collection area.
  • Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Provide courteous, professional communication with patients and staff.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Training: Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program .
  • Experience: Minimum 2+ years of recent phlebotomy experience , preferably in an outpatient setting.
  • Certification:
  • Current certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (ASCP, NHA, AMT, or equivalent).
  • BLS certification (AHA) required.
  • System: EPIC experience strongly preferred.

  • Hours: 72 guaranteed biweekly (not including on-call hours)
  • Duration: 13 weeks with possible extension
