Key Responsibilities:

As an Armed Security Officer with Cambridge Security Services, your role will include:

• Conducting armed foot and/or vehicle patrols, both inside and outside the premises.
• Controlling access and egress points to ensure a secure environment.
• Monitoring CCTV and alarm systems.
• Compiling comprehensive reports.
• Deterring criminal activity and misconduct.
• Fulfilling other responsibilities as specified in post orders.

Qualifications:

• To be an ideal candidate for this role, you should meet the following qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A current armed security officer license issued by the State of Florida (G License), Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
• Successful completion of a mental health assessment.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States.
• Flexibility to work various schedules.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Ability to successfully complete all required training.
• Proficiency in operating radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
• Subject to a drug screen as permitted by law.
• If prior military, the ability to provide a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated.

Responsibilities:

As an Armed Security Officer, you will have the following specific duties and essential functions:

Conduct security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.

Observe for irregular or unusual conditions that may pose security concerns or safety hazards.

Activate alarms or contact the police or fire department in the event of a fire or the presence of unauthorized persons.

Warn rule violators, such as those loitering, smoking, or carrying prohibited items.

Permit authorized individuals to enter the property and monitor entrances and exits.

Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities.

Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.

Physical Requirements and Environment:

Work takes place both indoors and outdoors, with temperatures ranging from moderate to extreme cold and heat.

Major activities include walking, standing, speaking, listening, and observing.

Physical efforts typically involve standing, walking, and sitting, with minimal stooping or kneeling.
