Salary: Starting at $29.62/hour + $4/hour night differential + $3/hour weekend differential + sign-on and relocation bonuses (case by case)

This unique, yearlong residency offers paid training, hands-on experience, and mentorship to help you grow into a confident and skilled RN.

Your Journey as a StaRN Resident

As a StaRN Resident , you’ll gain valuable acute care experience through a structured program designed for new graduates. Here’s what you’ll experience:

  • Part 1: Classroom Training (5–8 weeks):

    • Instructor-led classroom sessions and state-of-the-art simulations.
    • Training on charting systems and certifications needed for your unit.
    • Monday–Friday schedule with 40-hour workweeks.
  • Part 2: Clinical Preceptorship (7–8 weeks):

    • One-on-one preceptorship at the hospital to acclimate you to your role.
    • Regular development meetings with your preceptor and leadership team.
    • Three 12-hour shifts per week during this phase.
  • Part 3: HCA Residency Program (remainder of Year 1):

    • Transition to a full-time RN role with ongoing mentorship and professional development.
    • Complete an evidence-based capstone project to showcase your growth.

Who We’re Looking For

To succeed in this program, you’ll need:

  • Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing school within the past year (ADN or BSN).
  • Licensure: Current South Carolina RN license or ability to obtain one (NCLEX candidates welcome).
  • Commitment: Willingness to commit to a two-year, full-time role at the hospital.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, self-motivation, and a passion for patient care.
  • Flexibility: Open to various units (Medical/Surgical, Oncology, Ortho, Trauma, Neuro, etc.) and shifts based on hospital needs.
