Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Driver Logistics professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe transportation of medical items, route planning, compliance with regulations, vehicle maintenance, and excellent customer service.
salary: $43,660 - $43,680 per year
shift: First
work hours: 2 PM - 10:30 PM
education: No Degree Required
Responsibilities - Safe Transportation of Medical Items:
- Safely transport medical supplies, equipment, and specimens to and from healthcare facilities, clinics, and patients’ homes.
- Ensure that all items are handled with care and in accordance with relevant safety and health regulations.
- Route Planning and Navigation:
- Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient service while considering traffic conditions and priority deliveries.
- Use GPS and mapping tools to navigate effectively and adjust routes as needed.
- Compliance with Regulations:
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations related to the transportation of medical items, including handling hazardous materials if applicable.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of transportation laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Vehicle Maintenance:
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition and meets safety standards.
- Report any vehicle issues or maintenance needs promptly to the appropriate personnel.
- Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Accurately complete and maintain records of deliveries, including delivery logs, invoices, and any relevant paperwork.
- Ensure proper documentation is provided for all medical items transported, including handling instructions and tracking information.
