 1130 Opal Court, Hagerstown, MD 21740

  Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Compassionate Wellness Center is a client-centered behavioral health organization dedicated to empowering individuals and families to live healthier, more fulfilling lives. We provide high-quality, evidence-based counseling services in a supportive, collaborative environment. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our growing team. The LPC will provide individual, group, and family therapy to clients facing a wide range of mental health challenges. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, a collaborative spirit, and a deep commitment to supporting clients on their journey toward wellness and recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to client needs.
  • Provide evidence-based individual, group, and family counseling services.
  • Utilize therapeutic approaches such as CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and other relevant modalities.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care providers, case managers, and other professionals to coordinate care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with organizational, ethical, and state standards.
  • Support crisis intervention and risk assessment as needed.
  • Participate in regular supervision, staff meetings, and professional development activities.

Qualifications

  • Active Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential in [State].
  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of counseling experience (clinical internship may be considered for entry-level candidates).
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated cultural competence and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
  • Specialized training or certifications (e.g., trauma-focused therapy, play therapy, EMDR).
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish or other languages).
