Job Duties Kind of Work Professional level internship providing legal work experience for first, second, or third-year law school students or recent law school graduates. We are seeking 4 legal interns to start in late May or early June 2026. Our internships run for approximately 12 weeks. Please note: We are looking to fill (3) three internship positions in Duluth and (1) in Virginia/Hibbing, MN. St. Louis County does not participate in E-Verify. All employees must be continuously authorized to work in the United States, for St. Louis County, on a full-time basis. St. Louis County does not provide sponsorship for employment visas. Distinguishing Features of Work An employee in the Legal Intern class will work directly with a Division Head Attorney in all phases of the civil, criminal & public health and human services legal process by utilizing and applying standardized principals of law. Duties include answering defense motions, conducting legal research, and appearing in court with a supervising attorney. The work is performed under the direction of a Division Head.
