Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled individual to join their team as the intake registered dietician. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting and signing dietary assessments for patients who have been referred to the company through the CalAIM Community Supports program. In addition, the intake RD will be responsible for completing nutrition notes and nutritional consultations.
Responsibilities:
• Generate Notes: Conduct evaluations during phone consultations, gathering pertinent information through interviews, drafting RD recommendations for authorization for Medically Tailored Meals.
• Dietary Assessments: Perform thorough evaluations via phone consultations, collect relevant data through interviews, questionnaires, and dietary recalls to understand patients' current eating habits and nutritional intake.
• Provide Nutritional Consultations: Analyze dietary data to evaluate the nutritional content of individuals' food choices and meal patterns, offering insights and recommendations for enhancement.
• Maintain Detailed Documentation: Record detailed dietary assessments, meal plans, progress notes, and other essential data, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and legal regulations.
• Ensure Compliance with Regulations: Adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies, implementing ethical and promotional guidelines in interactions with healthcare professionals to uphold integrity and professionalism.
Required Skills/Abilities:

• Capable of managing many projects at once and changing priorities as needed.
• Bilingual Preferred (English/Spanish)
• Self-starter; able to work independently.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with pa- tients, healthcare professionals, and team members effectively.
• Empathy and Compassion: Ability to understand and empathize with patients' unique needs, challenges, and cultural backgrounds while providing non-judgmental support.
• Organization and Time Management: Efficiently manage multiple patients, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (RDN)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of standing, sitting, desk work, and computer data input
