VFR Pilot - Mt. Pleasant, TX

Location: Mt. Pleasant, TX | Sign-On Bonus: Up to $50,000

About the Role

Total Aviation Staffing is seeking an experienced VFR Pilot for Helicopter Air Ambulance (HAA) operations based in Mt. Pleasant, Texas . This is a unique opportunity to combine advanced aviation skills with life-saving missions, delivering critical medical care to communities in need.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform BH407 VFR/NVG operations under CAMTS guidelines.
• Conduct 24-hour operations, including day and night rotations.
• Complete pre-flight and post-flight checks in compliance with aviation and safety standards.
• Participate in community outreach and represent the company in a professional manner.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of patients and equipment as required.
• Support the Safety Management System (SMS) and company safety initiatives like Destination Zero .

Qualifications

• Licenses and Certifications:
  • Commercial Helicopter License with Instrument Rating.
  • First Class Medical Certification.
• Flight Experience:
  • 2,000 total hours (1,500 helicopter, 1,000 PIC helicopter, 500 turbine helicopter).
  • 100 hours unaided night operations or 50 hours unaided + 100 hours NVG.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Must meet a body weight limit of 235 lbs .
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs for assisting with equipment and patient transport.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • BH407 aircraft experience.
  • EMS or NVG operations experience.

Compensation & Benefits

• Sign-On Bonus: Up to $50,000 .
• Additional Incentives: Shift bonuses, annual safety and performance bonuses.
• Schedule: 7 days on/7 days off rotation.
