IQ Clarity's client, a large internet and cable provider, is looking for a Head of Data & Analytics that must be based in Denver, CO.

Role Overview: As the Head of Data and Analytics, you will oversee the development and execution of our data strategy, ensuring that data and analytics drive strategic business decisions and operational efficiencies. You will lead a team of data professionals and work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize data solutions. Your expertise in Azure, Fabric, Data Factory, Databricks, Python, ETL processes, data pipelines, Power BI, SQL, and other data technologies will be crucial in building a robust data infrastructure and delivering actionable insights.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the data and analytics strategy aligned with business objectives, ensuring data drives decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Data Infrastructure: Oversee the design, implementation, and management of data infrastructure using Azure services, including Azure Fabric, Data Factory, and Databricks.
  • Data Engineering: Lead the development and optimization of ETL processes, data pipelines, and data workflows to ensure high-quality and timely data delivery.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Drive the creation and maintenance of interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and SQL to provide actionable insights and support business decisions.
  • Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing data and analytics team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies, ensuring data accuracy, security, and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable analytics solutions.
  • Innovation: Stay current with emerging data technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and report on data and analytics performance metrics, ensuring the effectiveness of data solutions and identifying areas for improvement.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience in a senior data and analytics leadership role, with a strong background in data infrastructure, data engineering, and analytics.
  • Technology Expertise: Extensive experience with Azure services (e.g., Azure Fabric, Data Factory, Databricks), Python for data processing, ETL processes, and data pipeline development.
  • Analytics Tools: Proficiency in Power BI for data visualization and reporting, and advanced SQL skills for querying and managing databases.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team of data professionals, managing complex projects and driving strategic initiatives.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of how data can drive business strategy and operational efficiency in a large-scale internet and cable provider environment.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders and executives.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification: Relevant certifications in Azure (e.g., Azure Data Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect) and data analytics.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the internet and cable industry or similar large-scale service provider environments.
  • Advanced Analytics: Knowledge of advanced analytics techniques, including machine learning and predictive modeling.
