Prepress Technician

Opportunity –

Frankston Packaging is currently seeking a Graphics Prepress Technician to work out of our Tyler, Tx facility. This position is not for design but is responsible for preparing art files for printing. This role will be utilized in all aspects of prepress – art, proofing, plating, and file management.

Position –

This position requires extensive experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Experience with Flexo printing, color management, and plating is a plus.
Knowledge of Esko, Color Pilot, Art Pro +, and Studio are necessary but not required.
This role will modify customer supplied art to fit existing die lines following established procedures. This position will also help with proofing and plating during the shift as well other assigned duties and reports to the Prepress Manager. Must be a self-starter, and a team player as well as interested in learning state of the art prepress software.

• Understand and participate in departmental housekeeping regulations and requirements.

 

• Comply with quality control procedures through in-process inspection/detection/load marking/correction/prevention activities as

applicable, and comply with quality system doctrines through adherence to work instructions/policies/procedures.

• Comply with safety rules and guidelines in all areas of the facility; report unsafe conditions to management.
