Summary:

The Manager, Global Supply Planning leads the overall supply planning process for all species at Trident Seafoods. This role is responsible for owning the Production and Inventory plans in the company's upstream operations. The role is a key stakeholder in Global Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and margin maximization decisions for Trident.

  • Develops, implements, and maintains an effective capacity and production planning process by balancing plant utilization/cost and inventory while delivering superior customer service
  • Leads Supply Planning improvement initiatives (schedule optimization) and proactively manage projects (timelines and delivery) to improve efficiency and longer-term planning
  • Identifies supply risks and develops mitigation plans and recommendations for corrective action to secure supply and service levels for all species
  • Provide End-to-End Demand/Supply pre- and in-season views for all species for TFC-Fishing Company
  • Ensure production plans are aligned with the P&L team and executable by the ops team keeping in mind margin and customer priority
  • Identifies and communicates constraints that may impact the achievement of the business demand
  • Works cross-functionally to obtain and align accurate information for supply planning
  • Manage Demand-Supply gap assessment and provides required inputs to the P&L team for taking buy-sell decisions
  • Prepares and maintains relevant reports on supply planning - production plans, production adherence reports, and inventory quality tracking
  • Leads Weekly/Monthly supply reviews and actively participates in the Global S&OP process

This is a salaried exempt position with an annualized salary range of $110k to $130k.

Minimum Requirements

Required Qualifications (education, years of experience, KSAs)

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or the Food industry in the areas of supply planning, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), or S&OP
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/Engineering/Mathematics or similar field; or the equivalent combination of education and years of experience
  • Advance understanding and working knowledge of End-to-end Supply Chain process, particularly on how MRP and forecast drives overall demand
  • Strong Excel skills, including proficiency in Power-pivots and Optimization modeling

Preferred education and experience

  • Experience working in popular Supply Planning tools (SAP/Oracle etc.)
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative and excellent follow-up skills
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills are required. Must enjoy and be proficient in working with numbers and mining data from many sources for insights
  • Demonstrated change management and process management experience with success working in a team environment

This job takes place in a typical office environment: temperature controlled with adequate lighting and has moderate noise.

Physical demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use a computer for long periods and often sit at a desk in an office environment.

The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. During visits to production locations, the employee will need normal vision and hearing to safely navigate production floors and warehouses.
