**   This is a temporary 1099 role **

So, what will the General Sanitation Worker at Terrestris do?

As a General Sanitation Worker you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the workplace, including production areas, common areas, restrooms, and equipment. This position ensures that all sanitation tasks are performed in compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.

What does a typical day look like for the General Sanitation Worker?

You will:

• Clean and sanitize floors, walls, equipment, and work areas according to established sanitation protocols.
• Clean and sanitize restroom facilities and shower areas according to established sanitation protocols.
• Dispose of trash and recyclables properly and regularly.
• Operate cleaning machinery such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, and pressure washers.
• Replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies as needed (soap, paper towels, etc.).
• Follow all company safety and hygiene policies, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to supervisors immediately.
• Handle cleaning chemicals in a safe and responsible manner.
• Assist in deep-cleaning tasks as scheduled (e.g., weekend or night shifts).
• Maintain detailed cleaning logs and records, if required.

What qualifications do you look for?

You might be the professional we're looking for if you have:

• The ability to work in the United States permanently, without sponsorship.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous janitorial or sanitation experience is a plus.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Physically able to stand, lift, bend, and move for extended periods (may require lifting up to 50 lbs).
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, or holidays as needed.
• The ability to communicate effectively in English.
