Position Title: Warehouse Worker/Forklift Operator
Reports to: Operations Manager

Job Type: Full-time- Work hours between:

Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30 am – 4:00 pm

Pay: $17.00 to $20.00 per hour

Location: 50 Portland Ave.

Job Overview:

Scrap Metal yard located in Rochester, NY seeks a Warehouse Worker/Forklift Operator to handle day-to-day physical tasks. These responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Load and unload scrap metal materials.
• Cleaning and preparing job site in a tidy and safe manner.
• Using a variety of tools and machines: blowtorches, bobcat loader, lifts, power drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers, and water spraying equipment.
• Experience operating a loader is a plus.
• Sort and process scrap metal according to grade and size.

Skillset:

• Quick learner who can follow directions.
• Good communication skills.
• Clearly and respectfully communicate with supervisors and co-workers, team players.
• Timeliness, organizational skills, and multi-tasker.

Requirements:

• Must be able to work assigned schedule.
• Must be able to perform a variety of tasks in all kinds of weather/seasons.
• Physical job- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.
• Will be required to wear proper PPE (steel-toed boots, hard hats, safety glasses).
• Metals' knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous is a plus.
