Job Description

Bachelor’s Degree in related field, two years of related experience, driver’s license and access to personal vehicle. Working knowledge of case management, crisis intervention techniques and excellent organizational and time management skills, along with the ability to work independently and in a team are critical.

We are searching for a full-time Family Counselor to join our Reunification team! The Reunification program provides permanency services to children who have entered out-of-home care due to abuse, neglect, dependency, or delinquency issues. The program uses an in-home, family focused approach. Staff work directly with family members through case management and counseling to resolve the issues leading up to the family’s separation and to ensure the child can return home safely or find permanency through other family members, foster parents, or adoption. Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Providing intensive in-home services to further the goals of the reunification plan. Services typically include individual/caregiver/family sessions,  supervising visits,  parent education and engaging with families in day-to-day activities to teach and model.
• Increasing safety for children through observation and intervention in the home and community, drug testing as indicated, and conducting unannounced check-ins at the home.
• Managing all aspects of assigned cases, including extensive case management, transportation of clients, and supporting clients in various arenas.
• Testifying in court for assigned cases.
