Supports economic vitality initiatives within the Boulder Chamber and Economic Council via research, data analytics, and strong communications.
Responsibilities
Research and Data
Perform a variety of technical and analytical research in support of the Boulder Economic Council
Provide data analysis for prospect tracking, business development, real estate, demographics and more
Manage and develop analytical tools, key performance indicators, collection techniques, quality control, and visualizations for internal and external use cases
Identify trends in large, complex data sets and interpret trends for leadership’s awareness and informative marketing campaigns
Monitor current trends in data analytics and continue to learn new technical skills to improve data collections and visualizations
Provide exceptional customer service and consultation on reporting and analytics projects
Assist with annual reports describing the progress towards goals and objectives and the overall accomplishments
Champion the use of data for making decisions that impact internal and external initiatives
Ongoing Communication
Serves as a point of contact for both business leaders and public partners for economic development and workforce data/reporting
Regularly work with marketing and communication staff to implement data collection and reporting
Coordinate with EV staff and other partnership participants to clearly promote priorities, outcomes, and engagement metrics
Connectivity and Strategic Engagement
Identify public partners to attend and observe the launch meeting; subsequent meetings; setting expectations for engagement
Identify points of contact that can organize and help facilitate engagement related to strategic priorities
Consistently expand opportunities to engage new outreach groups
Facilitate Discussion into Action
Showcase data within strategic presentations to connect ongoing economic vitality and workforce initiatives to measurable outcomes
Help sector leaders translate discussion into action items; assigning leads and deadlines
Experience
2+ years of experience in data analysis and reporting, project / program work preferred.
Skills and Abilities Required
Preferred
Data Collection and Interpretation – Understanding of economic, workforce, demographic data collection; and a strong ability to collect, interpret and tell a meaningful story using the data.
Technological Proficiency – knowledge of comfort with technology including CRM platforms, website tools, social media tools, and video engagement systems.
Project Coordination – Implement priorities, processes, contracts, timelines and task deliverables across a variety of overlapping projects.
Business Development – Form and nurture long-term partnerships that lead to growth opportunities within and between organizations.
Customer Service – Maintain a high level of engagement, empathy, problem-solving and communication with internal and external constituents to ensure an excellent experience with the Boulder Chamber and promote a collaborative work environment.
Organization and Multi-tasking - be able to organize in a thorough and detail-oriented way to carry out various tasks in a fast-paced environment to meet multiple deadlines.
Must be able to interact well with others, and support Boulder Chamber’s priorities around diversity and inclusivity; bilingual/ bicultural applicants encouraged.
Public Speaking and Presentation – Excellent written, phone and verbal communication abilities that command audience respect as a content authority.
Grant Facilitation – Follow grant guidelines, track grant deliverables and deliver grant reporting requirements.
Knowledge of local and regional workforce environment – Understanding of the Boulder regional workforce development landscape, as well as the key regional partners and factors that impact Boulder’s economy.
Working Conditions
Hybrid - in Boulder office 3 days/week. Position requires flexibility to work occasional early morning and evening hours for meetings and events
Typical Physical Demands
Operate normal business office equipment. Must be able to travel efficiently to off-site meeting locations throughout the Boulder area.
Compensation
$55,000 - $65,000 annually plus bonus opportunity
