Full-Time Family Driver & Security – McLean, VA

A private family in McLean, Virginia, is seeking a highly professional Family Driver & Security Specialist to ensure their safe and efficient transportation. The ideal candidate will have a background in law enforcement, military, or private security, with strong defensive and evasive driving skills. This role requires a license to carry and the ability to provide a discreet, protective presence while transporting family members.

Schedule & Availability:

• Monday through Friday
• Typical hours: 9 AM – 6 PM, with flexibility for early starts (as early as 7 AM) and occasional late evenings for events or outings.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Secure & Safe Transportation:

  • Safely drive family members to various locations, including:
    • Capitol Hill, the White House, and other government offices
    • Shopping trips and personal errands for the Mrs.
    • Veterinary appointments for the family pet
    • Future school drop-offs and pick-ups for their child (currently 7 months old)
  • Maintain situational awareness at all times and adjust routes as necessary for security and efficiency.
  • Provide a low-profile but effective security presence during outings.

• Vehicle Management & Readiness:

  • Ensure regular maintenance, service appointments, and repairs.
  • Keep the vehicle clean, fueled, and in optimal condition.
  • Conduct routine vehicle security checks.

• Security & Protection:

  • Must have a valid license to carry and be proficient in defensive tactics.
  • Monitor surroundings for potential threats and respond appropriately to any security concerns.
  • Provide additional security support at the family’s residence and during travel.

• Additional Support:

  • Assist with carrying packages, luggage, or other personal items as needed.
  • Handle occasional additional tasks to support the family’s needs.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in law enforcement, military, or security is strongly preferred.
• Professional driving experience, preferably with a private family or high-profile individuals.
• Valid license to carry and experience handling security situations discreetly.
• Non-smoker with a clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Strong knowledge of the Washington, D.C. metro area and surrounding regions.
• Discreet, professional, and highly trustworthy.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to anticipate the family's needs.

Compensation:

• $100,000 – $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
• Potential for additional benefits and perks.
