As part of our growing Cybersecurity team, you will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects that help strengthen our Cybersecurity posture. We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Cybersecurity Intern who is passionate about learning and gaining hands-on experience in the field.
As a Cybersecurity Intern, you will assist in identifying vulnerabilities, evaluating security incidents, and implementing security measures. This internship offers valuable experience in the practical application of Cybersecurity concepts, working with cutting-edge technologies, and learning from experienced professionals in the field.
Responsibilities
Assist in monitoring and analysing network traffic for potential security threats or anomalies.
Help identify vulnerabilities and perform security risk assessments.
Assist in responding to security incidents, including threat analysis and remediation.
Support the implementation and management of security measures such as MFA, encryption, patch remediation, endpoint security, application control, email security and digital certificates.
Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to ensure security best practices are integrated into all systems and processes.
Conduct research on emerging security trends, threats, and technologies.
Assist in the preparation of security reports and documentation.
Participate in vulnerability assessments and remediation under supervision.
Contribute to awareness campaigns and training to promote Cybersecurity best practices within the company.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (3rd or 4th-year students preferred).
Basic knowledge of Cybersecurity principles and practices, including networking, firewalls, encryption, endpoint security, MFA and vulnerability management.
Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux), network protocols, and security tools (e.g., Wireshark, Kali Linux).
Understanding of vulnerability scanning and basic penetration testing concepts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and security challenges.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior internship or relevant project experience in Cybersecurity or IT.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Familiarity with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
Industry certifications (CompTIA Security+, CEH, etc.) are a plus but not required.
