Prairie St. John's, a 132-bed psychiatric care facility located in Fargo, North Dakota, has been providing services for children, adolescents, and adults to address behavioral health and substance use challenges since 1997. Prairie offers inpatient hospitalization, day treatment, and intensive outpatient services. Accredited by The Joint Commission, we are the largest, freestanding behavioral health facility in the region. More than 5000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Prairie St. John's.

We are currently looking for a full-time Cook/Prep Cook who prepares, preps and cooks all items needed for patient tray line, cafeteria, and catering events following appropriate recipes as provided as wells as the standards of food handling, cleanliness, and personal hygiene in accordance with local health codes and Prairie St. John’s standards.

· Properly wraps, dates, and stores food.

· Responsible for keeping work area neat and clean. Performs daily cleaning tasks as assigned.

· Communicates with fellow employees and supervisors in regard to shortages and quality of inventory.

· Completes daily temperature charts as required.

· Follows modified diets for special patient care.

· Responsible for preparing office tallies and forecasts.

· Assists with training new employees. Assists in overseeing daily tasks and food preparation

• Previous food service experience in a healthcare facility or restaurant
• Customer service skills
• ServSafE certification preferred
