Job Description

Through innovative technology and efficient distribution systems, we aim to transform the food industry. We are seeking a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead our technology strategy and operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development of scalable technology infrastructure to support our growth and enhance operational efficiency.

About this Role:
The CIO will lead key technology initiatives to bring the company's vision to life. This role will involve making strategic decisions about technology platforms, building internal teams, managing external vendor relationships, and ensuring seamless integrations across various business functions. You will work closely with cross-functional leaders and manage an agile IT team that is poised to scale with the company's growth goals. Additionally, you will lead change management efforts to ensure successful adoption and ongoing maintenance of new technologies.

What You'll Do:

Strategic Technology Leadership

Align technology initiatives with broader business objectives to drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Lead decisions regarding "buy vs. build," focusing on leveraging external solutions while retaining the ability to develop essential internal systems.
Oversee the design and implementation of scalable IT infrastructure to support both current and future needs.
Systems Integration & Data Management

Lead efforts to integrate various technology platforms, ensuring seamless data flow across departments such as manufacturing, supply chain, and customer service.
Ensure data governance, security, and compliance across all business operations.
Vendor Management & Outsourcing

Manage the selection and oversight of third-party technology vendors, ensuring partnerships deliver long-term value.
Oversee outsourcing initiatives to enhance efficiency while maintaining high standards.
Drive continuous improvement and cost-effectiveness in vendor relationships.
Organizational Change Management

Lead change management initiatives to facilitate the adoption of new technologies across all departments.
Foster collaboration across teams, ensuring technology supports and enhances all business functions.
Develop training programs to ensure maximum user adoption of new systems.
Optimizing Technology for Business Operations

Collaborate with teams in manufacturing, supply chain, sales, marketing, and customer service to optimize technology solutions.
Lead technology projects that address specific operational challenges, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery.
Team Leadership & Development

Build and lead a high-performing IT team capable of executing the company's technology strategy.
Cultivate a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the technology team.
Who You Are:

Leadership & Management

10+ years of experience in senior technology leadership roles, ideally within tech-enabled manufacturing, food, CPG, or a related field.
Proven success in leading complex, multi-department business operations and scaling technology teams.
Strong leadership presence with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, from the production floor to the Board of Directors.
Technology Expertise

Extensive experience in "buy vs. build" decisions, preferring external solutions while maintaining the ability to develop critical internal systems.
Expertise in systems integration, data infrastructure, and vendor management, including outsourcing and long-term vendor relationships.
A strong track record of managing organizational change to support the adoption of new technologies.
Industry Experience

Experience in food manufacturing, CPG, or fulfillment is preferred, with a deep understanding of how technology can drive operational efficiency and growth.
Familiarity with multi-department budget management, including managing IT-related P&L.
